 Father's Day Art & Craft at Tiny Tuis

 Duration: 1.5 hours

 Participants: parent/s and their child/children ages 3+ 

"Our Family Canvas" - Create a collaborative piece of art that represents the family and can be displayed at home. 

• Mixed media including acrylic paint, stickers, feathers and other mixed media crafts 
• 1x canvas  for each family (2-3 people) option to add a canva/s for extra $10 for groups 4-6 people-(see options available when purchasing tickets)
• Non-toxic acrylic paints (various colors)
• Paintbrushes and aprons provided but recommend children wear an old  oversized shirt during the workshop  
• Glue and Scissors (child-safe)
• Paper towels and water cups for cleaning

Workshop Process: 

1.  Short Introduction at 10.30am- Explain that they will be creating a unique piece of art together as a family, which can represent anything special to them – such as hobbies, pets , or meaningful symbols  
2. Ask fathers and children to take a few minutes to talk about what they'd like their artwork to include. Encourage them to think about symbols that represent their family, like favorite animals or activities they like doing together.   
3. Have the Father/ Parent masking tape up the design onto the canvas.  
4. Using the crafts and art supplies let your imagination run wild, and create a fun and memorable art peice filling each space with colour, stickers, painting or any craft. 45mins approx  
5. final 10mins, Provide time for families to finish any last touches and end with a group photo of all the families holding their artwork.

Tickets:

Each Ticket for Father's Day at Tiny Tuis on 1st September is $60 and covers admission for 1 adult and 1-2 children. 

 If you have other children/parents who would like to attend we advise adding at least 1 additional canvas per child. 

for example family of 2 adults and 3 children may want to have 2 canvas (add 1x canvas $10 total = $70 ) or 3 canvas ( 2x additional canvas  $20 total = $80 ) All additional canvases are $10 and are the same size.
